_ OPEN LETTER______
Dear Reader:
I would like to thank those of you who have frequented this site over the past few years to enhance your ministries for your interest and your membership support. The Health Ministries Network of Minnesota will be closing their doors at the end of this fiscal year on September 30, 2010. Our membership numbers have declined and we have found that the decrease is likely due to the increase of other websites like Google, Twitter and Facebook et. al. which will likely be the next generation's online resource support.
We have appreciated your stopping by from time to time and hope your ministries will continue to grow and evolve. There is so much information on the world wide web that we have found it difficult to offer New or Different things not offered elsewhere. We do not have the expertise or resources to continue so we have decided after nearly 5 years as a virtual organization and another 6 years prior to that to dissolve. We have prayed for the past six months for guidance and feel that we have been asked to close our doors. We pray that Parish Nursing and Health Ministries in the churches will continue to grow with denominational leadership and support picking up where our resource and support group has left off.
God's Peace be with You,
Judy Lightowler, RN, MS, FCN
Rural Chair HMN-MN
