Faith Community Nursing/Parish Nursing

Nurses enter into this nursing specialty from a wide array of nursing practice fields. Often the practice of a Faith Community nurse is a reflection of the needs of the congregation and the practice background of the nurse. Regardless of background, all faith community/parish nurses attend additional education that focuses on this nursing specialty practice.

Each educational program brings its own theology and philosophy of parish nursing into the educational curriculum. We encourage you to contact the individual programs to obtain specific information and to determine if the program meets your needs.
